Giving Black

The Association of Fundraising Professionals West Michigan will be hosting a virtual panel discussion in celebration of Black Philanthropy Month. Representatives from several West Michigan organizations will share how their work has impacted the West Michigan community through philanthropy.
A 2012 study from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation reported that African Americans donate a higher percentage of their incomes to charity than any other ethnic group in this country. In recognition of August as Black Philanthropy Month, we are hosting this community panel to celebrate and amplify the philanthropic contributions of African Americans in our community.
