This group of organizations collaborated on a series of timely virtual resources to help nonprofits navigate COVID-19 and reimagining the nonprofit workplace. We are also grateful for their partnership in developing this COVID-19 website.
Addressing the new and existing challenges facing the nonprofit community in southeast Michigan requires collective action and an all hands on deck approach. In recognition of this reality, the Michigan Nonprofit Association (MNA), Co.act Detroit, Michigan Community Resources (MCR), Nonprofit Enterprise at Work (NEW), and Community Development Advocates of Detroit (CDAD) are partnering to advance a collective response to the COVID-19 crisis for nonprofits serving in southeast Michigan.
Michigan’s Capacity Building Center (CBC) Network consists of eleven organizations dedicated to learning from each other, collaborating, and providing services to nearly 44,000 nonprofits throughout the state. CBCs exist to provide capacity building services to other nonprofit organizations. This includes training, consulting, coaching, and project management, in areas such as strategic planning, board development, and technology. The collaboration between these organizations aims to help nonprofits better serve their clients, achieve their missions, and increase the performance and impact of Michigan’s nonprofit sector.
