COVID-19 has caused upheaval in just about every aspect of society and has highlighted the deep social inequities many nonprofits are working to address. As 501(c)3 organizations, how can we effectively advocate for those we serve and go deeper in our engagement of social movements that support an anti-racist and equity-centered new way forward? In this interactive session, we will explore several opportunities to advance this critical work that is centered in social justice, advocacy, and civic engagement while balancing legal considerations in maintaining our 501(c)3 status. This session will include time for Q&A.
Presented by: Council of Michigan Foundations, Michigan Nonprofit Association, Michigan Community Resources and Co.act Detroit This engaging and interactive multi-part series will provide guidance to Michigan’s nonprofits as they consider re-entry into the workplace. Sessions will be grounded in equity as we balance the exploration of legal, HR and financial requirements as well as ways to strengthen team culture, redefine the work space and realign to mission.
