AFP is committed to the principles of inclusion, diversity, equity and access (IDEA) in the fundraising profession, the philanthropic sector and throughout all of society. AFP is involved in numerous projects and partnerships related to IDEA. Join us in welcoming Donna Murray-Brown as our guest speaker on May 12, 2021 from 2-3:30 p.m. Donna will speak on her experiences as a Black woman in today’s environment and how we all can be more intentional to support the principles of I.D.E.A.

Being a Black woman leading through difficult times- racial awakening- a pandemic- the issues Black women face overall not in just Corporate America, but the nonprofit sector as well. The issues facing Black women today are very real. Black women are not being promoted – yet doing twice the work. Let’s have a candid conversation about discrimination and how we can deal with it and move forward. We must acknowledge and address where we have gaps, and take bold actions to create a more equitable future so that women of color have a seat at the table.
