Michigan Nonprofit Association is hosting “From Talk to Action: Policymaking at the Margins” on Tuesday, March 23. The Detroit Equity Action Lab (DEAL) will lead a discussion about policy change through a racial equity lens. The morning program will consist of a keynote address introducing concepts followed by facilitated breakout exercises. In the afternoon, we will meet with legislators via Zoom.
DEAL is a program of the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at Wayne State University’s Law School and its mission is to develop leaders who work to end structural racism. DEAL is an innovative hub for community-driven research, programming, and media, working to dismantle racist systems using a knowledge, network, and narrative framework.
