MNA Monthly Member Connect – Integrating, Including and Maximizing Team Members

Join MNA monthly to learn more about relevant nonprofit topics from in-house experts, engage with fellow members and presenters and maximize your MNA membership by learning how to access your benefits and resources. Members and non-members are invited to the live events, while recordings will be available only to MNA members.
Chris Castle and Mara Hazen, VISTA Leaders for MNA’s Pathways to Employment VISTA Program, will be discussing their experiences as service members and offering advice on creating a welcoming and inclusive space for new members of your organization.
National service members have the unique experience of serving with an organization for a short period of time, usually 6-12 months. A service year goes by quickly and service members must integrate into the organization swiftly in order to maximize their service. This experience is not unique to national service members, however. If your organization is hiring interns or even full-time staff, it is critical that they feel like they’re a part of your team.
