The Opportunities and Imperatives in Defining Michigan’s New Normal

September 24, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

The closing session to this virtual series features a conversation led by the CEOs of each hosting organization: Shamyle Dobbs (Michigan Community Resources), Allandra Bulger (Co.act Detroit), Donna Murray-Brown (Michigan Nonprofit Association), and Kyle Caldwell (Council of Michigan Foundations). These nonprofit leaders and facilitator Paula Cunningham (AARP Michigan) will explore the ways we can work within our organizations and collectively to reset the structures and policies that have held us back from a truly equitable future. Join us as we delve into the strategies we can implement and the conversations we can lead to create a new normal that dismantles racism and all systems of oppression. This session will include ample time for Q&A and attendee reflections.

Register here.

Presented by: Council of Michigan Foundations, Michigan Nonprofit Association, Michigan Community Resources, and Co.act Detroit This engaging and interactive multi-part series will provide guidance to Michigan’s nonprofits as they consider re-entry into the workplace. Sessions will be grounded in equity as we balance the exploration of legal, HR, and financial requirements as well as ways to strengthen team culture, redefine the workspace and realign to the mission.
