Your world is changing so much in 2020. From the first wave of COVID-19 to the rekindling of the Black Lives Matter movement, our communities have been in constant flux. Yet often, the scramble to react to change excludes input from communities of color. Centering Justice is here to fix that.
In this space, we honor and uplift the voices of leaders of color as central pillars in change making. With a focus on Black communities, you’ll hear from folks who are close to the issues and doing things differently. Their lived and career experiences will give more context to the narrative unfolding around us.
Each month, we think about a theme that we hope will resonate with what’s on your heart and mind. For our upcoming session on Wednesday, November 18th, our theme is Healing Justice. We’ll hear from local leaders Quiana Perkins, Mishelle Rodriguez and Yoshimi Shelton, asking this question: what healing practices can we lean into that will and must transform us, as we center justice now and into the future?
